Establishment of Council of African Cabinet Secretaries
The foundation members of the Council are the Cabinet Secretaries from Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Somaliland, South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia and Zanzibar. Other African Cabinet Secretaries are being invited to join. See more detail.
First Roundtable Workshop for Cabinet Secretaries
In February 2014 ACGN brought together the Cabinet Secretaries and other senior officials from 11 Cabinet Secretariats in Addis Ababa. The workshop was funded by DFID as part of the Africa Cabinet Decision-Making Program. See details of the workshop and report.
Africa Cabinet Decision-Making Programme
Commencing in September 2013, the Africa Cabinet Decision-making (ACD) programme is an initiative of the Africa Cabinet Government Network, which is funded by DFID, to help build the capacity of up to 12 African Governments to make better evidence-informed collective Cabinet decisions. See details.
Sierra Leone - Ghana Exchange
In January 2012 a delegation from the Sierra Leone Cabinet Secretariat made a week-long visit to the Cabinet Secretariat of Ghana. The visit was arranged by the African Cabinet Government Network and funded by UNDP from the IBSA Fund. See details.
